I hope you like this picture. I sure do. Thanks again for everything yesterday. Silly puppy had me awake at 4:00 for a potty walk. I’m sure I’ll get some sleep some time.

Our Southern Utah Beagle Barn “Buddy” Story
I think it all started when my seven year old son, Tyler, was born. He was born wanting a dog. Tyler didn’t want just any dog. He wanted a special dog to call his own. And persistently for seven young years he kept asking (creatively begging) his loving parents for a dog. He and his sister, Jaclyn, his 6 year old accomplice, would do anything to prove they were responsible enough to care for and nurture their dream companion. They even did their homework and learned about all kinds of dogs. After much deliberation and weeks of work, they concluded a BEAGLE puppy would be a wonderful addition to our family.
And of course, we had to investigate the “Southern Utah Beagle Barn.” They knew their special little friend would have to come from not just the best breeder, but from someone who loved dogs as much as they did. A happy puppy has to be breed with LOVE and CARE in order to love and be loved. Thus we found Jacqui at the Southern Utah Beagle Barn in Beryl, Utah. Smarts kids. Smart parents. Smart breeder.
After talking with Jacqui about her litters of pups, we knew we had to drive 4 hours to pick out this special pup for our kids. On January 19, 2006, after passing through Cedar City, Utah, and within 30 minutes of reaching Beryl, Utah, we all knew we would be returning home with the newest member of our family. Tyler, Jaclyn and I went to the Beagle Barn to pick out our puppy; however, our puppy “Buddy” actually picked US!
We were trying to pick out that one special pup from a six week old litter and every time my son would try to hold one of these little darlings, Buddy (eight weeks old), kept crawling into Tyler’s lap. We’d move him off, and Buddy would snuggle up to Jaclyn and again up to me, Mom. Smart dog. We has almost decided which one of the younger litter we wanted, when we were corrected by Buddy himself. He kept following my kids around the entire evening. Obviously HE wanted to go home with them. And to think we were going to return a few weeks later for one of the younger pups. He saved us another long trip. Ecstatic and not the least bit tired, my kids loved him the entire four and a half hours home…to Buddy’s new home. And what can we say, Tyler, Jaclyn, Adam, Brady, Dad and I(Mom) are grateful little Buddy chose us.
We just love our little Beagle BUDDY! Thanks a million Jacqui! Buddy thanks you too.
Our wonderful beagle was born on Dec. 10, 2005. We picked him up in Jan. 2006 and almost one year later, it’s amazing how much more we love this special beagle. A beagle will leave paw prints on your heart forever!

Jacqui -
You are probably thinking we have dropped off the earth. I am so sorry I have been so bad about keeping in touch. Jessa has a letter and picture for you that I haven’t mailed, and I sincerely apologize.
We are absolutely loving our little “Angel”. We gave her the perfect name, because she really is. She has not barked once. She is mellow when she needs to be and playful when the girls are outside running and playing and laughing together.
She was Jessa’s show and tell last week at school and all the kids loved her, but we were careful not to let anyone touch her.
She is doing so well with her training! She goes to the door and waits for us to let her out, goes and does her “thing” and then comes right back in. She loves to go on walks and has even jogged with Doug a few times. She seems to be very happy and very smart. In the mornings, she goes outside and then goes straight to Jessa’s room, climbs up on her bed and nuzzles her nose under Jessa’s neck and waits for her to wake up and then immediately rolls over so that Jessa can rub her tummy. Then her foot bounces in happiness, and she is set.
Thank you so much for sharing her with us. She is a blessing in our lives, and it’s hard to remember not having her. She seems to be so a part of us!
OH !!! We have a cabin in the mountains where we went last weekend and she was in HEAVEN. She ran and ran and ran…. She chased the girls, watched for birds, and ate snow. Anyway… thank you.

Dear Jacqui,
Anna is the light of my life, she is so exsuberant and
fun and always wants to play, she never holds a grudge
and just falls apart in the middle when she sees one
of the cats and trys to get it to play with her. She
is a wiggle worm and a cuddle none stop! She sleeps
right next to me every night…she is so long, it’s
like sleeping with one of the kids! Roscoe of course
sleeps right next to Mark…we really need a king size
bed! She is so beautiful, especially her face with her
big brown eyes and her facial expressions! We all love
her very very much! Roscoe especially loves her and
knows she is his girl, he is very gentle with her and
doesn’t get cross with her. They are a perfect pair.
They all play together great now, they have made their
bounderies and understand them, at first it was hard
but with supervison, they have worked it out and are
all good buddies! 3 beagles are soooo much energy! We
take them on a walk 2x a day, they just expect it, so
rain or shine or snow, we are out there! They all have
jackets for when its snowy, they don’t like to get
wet! They are sooooo cute! I am sending some recent
pictures I am sure you will enjoy! Of course you can
use us as a reference! Maybe she will want to come out
and meet ours and get a feeling of what it takes to
own a beagle, they are a breed all their own as you
know! Great for Breezy!! Give her a big hug for us, I
bet they are just too adorable!! Take care and talk to
ya soon!
